MJH is an independent hospitality investment and operating platform with a clear focus on Sri Lanka. We acquire underutilized properties, reposition them through our own design and brand studios, and operate them directly to turn each asset into durable, long-term cashflow. One flagship in Hong Kong, running profitably for nearly a decade, proved the model. Two properties relaunching in Sri Lanka in 2026 are where we are building now. A deliberate pipeline of future acquisitions runs across the island, from Negombo and Colombo to the south coast.
We are a hands-on hotel management company. We invest, brand, build the websites, run revenue management, operate, train the teams, and even run the restaurants. No outsourcing. No franchising. Every property is sourced, repositioned, and run by the same in-house MJH team.
MJH owns and operates three hospitality properties across Hong Kong and Sri Lanka. Each one was acquired below replacement cost, repositioned through in-house design and branding, and is now managed directly by our founding team. We do not outsource. We do not franchise. We build.
The thesis is straightforward. Sri Lanka is full of properties with great bones and poor operators. The institutional capital has not arrived yet. We have. Every asset in our portfolio was sourced on the ground, not from a pitch deck.
Our flagship in Hong Kong has been operating continuously since 2017, scaling one floor at a time. In Sri Lanka, AYUDA Sanctuary Boutique relaunches in May 2026 and Atlas Sri Lanka opens in September 2026, both under general managers we trained on site. That is the MJH method: move in, build the team, stabilize the economics, then scale.
Discover Our Method →MJH is a hands-on hotel management company. We do not outsource the things that make a hotel work. We do them, on the same team, for every property we run.
We name it, design it, and give it a voice. Logos, interiors, tone of voice, the lot. Built in-house for every hotel and every restaurant.
Every property gets its own website, booking flow, photography and content, designed and run by our team.
Pricing, distribution, channel mix and forecasting, managed daily. This is where the margin is made or lost.
We run the property and train the team on site, from the front desk to housekeeping, then hand over a business that runs itself.
Restaurant concepts, menu engineering and the pass. Salt & Palm and Bali Cafe are ours, from brand to plate.
Booking engine, channel manager, business intelligence and guest communications, integrated into one managed stack.
Each property was acquired underperforming and repositioned through our in-house team.

Every hotel earns a kitchen with a point of view. We build the brand, engineer the menu, and run the pass. Two concepts are underway right now, one in each property.

A coastal, produce-led restaurant. Local fish, garden produce, and a short honest menu built from the lagoon and the sea.

Salt air, dark roast. An all-day cafe and coffee bar for the hostel and the neighbourhood: strong coffee, easy plates, an open door.

Twenty minutes from the airport, on a lagoon most travelers only pass through. We decided to stay.

Wellness has become a sticker on a spa menu. Jura Verdad is the opposite.

A hotel restaurant is usually an afterthought. We think it is half the stay.
MJH is an operator-founder platform, not a fund. We buy properties with our own capital, reposition them through our own design and brand studios, and run them through our own team. Every asset in the portfolio has been sourced on the ground, underwritten conservatively, and stabilized before the next acquisition begins. That discipline is what has kept the flagship in Hong Kong profitable for nearly a decade and is what is now extending the portfolio across Sri Lanka.
We are now opening the story to aligned capital partners. If you invest in hospitality real estate, if you own an underperforming property that deserves a better operator, or if you want to co-invest in the next acquisition, we should talk.
